Study Area from aerial photographs and gone out in the field to determine
what was there. This page includes descriptions of the features listed on
the map.

Our study trees - during the past decade, young Macoun Club
members have studied trees that they have chosen themselves. On each trip
to the Study Area, we examine our trees for signs of damage and disease, and
work at discovering the species that live on, and rely on, our trees.

The Ottawa Public
Library has excellent online resources. These include a comprehensive
and freely-available
list of the most useful links on the internet for young
audiences, teenagers, and adults; also highly recommended is the library's
Electronic Info site, which provides full-text articles
from over 2,000 current publications via such online databases as EBSCO and
the Canadian Periodical Index. Generally available only for a hefty fee,
these services are provided free of charge to anyone with an Ottawa Public
Library card.
